Measure Drawer Boxes

Step by Step: How to measure for your new drawer boxes.

  1. All orders must be for actual drawer box sizes. The size you give us is the size we will make for you. WE DO NOT ACCEPT OPENING SIZES.
  2. Drawer boxes are available in heights from 2” to 15” in 1” increments. i.e. 2, 3, … 14, 15. If your cabinet openings are not square, make sure you use the larger of the two measurements when measuring the height and width. Round all measurements off to the nearest 1/32 of an inch.
  3. To make it easier for you to match your new drawer boxes to your existing cabinets, we recommend numbering the openings in your cabinets, and writing down the drawer box sizes in sequence.
  4. Most standard side rails require 1 1/16’ clearance, so when using side rails subtract 1 1/16 from the width of the rough opening to get the width of the drawer box. Subtract a minimum of ½ inches from the height, rounding down to the nearest inch and one eighth. Measure the depth from the front of the cabinet face to the back wall and subtract 2 inches to insure enough clearance.
